Last night I had an opportunity to attend an exciting grand opening of the long awaited Bangkok’s newest shopping mall, EmQuartier. Following the on-going success of Bangkok’s iconic The Emporium shopping mall for almost two decades now, they have opened EmQuartier as an extension of their already colourful fashion hub, creating a whole new area of shopping experience now known as the EmDistrict.
Connected directly to Phrom Phrong BTS station, EmQuartier is no challenge to get to and you can easily avoid Bangkok’s infamous traffic. Luckily for me, I live only around the corner from this gigantic mall and will definitely will be driving there a lot now that it’s open!
Upon entering the mall, I noticed that they have a Rag & Bone flagship store so I made a bee-line for it! I pretty much only get to shop here if I travel abroad or if I order from their online store, so I was thrilled to get to view their stuff in person here in Bangkok! I left with a really cute fedora that I’m sure you guys will see in my upcoming posts!
They also had a more relaxed open shopping section where everything is displayed all together, good for when you just want to browse and don’t have a particular thing you’re after. I did like it that they have a very large range of stores you can look at, from very high end stores, to a more relaxed set of stores.
And of course, I can’t ever resist a quick peek (that never really is a quick peek!) in the Alexander Wang store. I could spend ages in there looking at all his designs, completely in awe with the details and love he clearly gives every piece! And because last night was the opening night, almost every store at EmQuartier had a promotional 20% discount. I couldn’t say no to such a good deal so I went ahead and spoilt myself with an Alexander Wang backpack and a pair of the cutest sandals you’d ever seen! The 20% promotional discount goes on for 3 days so my mum is rushing there tomorrow haha!
If you guys are Thai, definitely don’t miss out on checking out EmQuartier! Or if you’re planning a visit to Bangkok soon, I highly recommend giving EmQuartier a visit. You can basically fill up an entire day there, shopping and eating! Best combination 🙂
